The National Memorial Arboretum was created in 1997 and is a special place that remembers those who have served, and continue to serve, our nation in many different ways.
With some 50,000 trees already planted, and 200 dedicated memorials established on the site, the Arboretum is a living tribute that will forever acknowledge the personal sacrifices made by the armed and civil services of this country.
Covering 150 acres, the Arboretum has something for everyone. For some it is a wonderful place to stroll and enjoy the beauty of the trees; for others it’s a peaceful and beautiful place to remember loved ones, particularly those who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.
National Memorial Arboretum is just a 12 minute drive away from the hotel which is only 7 miles.
